DRAFT — not yet in force. This page still contains unfilled entity details (11 of them). It is published so the wording can be reviewed, and it does not take effect until the registered entity, address and contact details below are real.
EPiC Circle, operated by TBD — entity name, TBD — entity type. Effective TBD — effective date.
By using EPiC Circle you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
1 · The most important thing on this page
EPiC Circle is educational material. It is not engineering advice, and nothing on it may be used as the basis of a design, a calculation, a drawing, a purchase or a decision on a real plant.
Every lesson, calculator, 3D model and worked example here is simplified and illustrative. Models are schematic. Calculators use teaching assumptions. Numbers are chosen to make a point clearly, not to be correct for your line, your fluid, your code edition or your climate.
Real work is governed by the applicable design code, the project specification and your employer's procedures — and by a qualified engineer who takes responsibility for it. That is not us. You must independently verify anything you take from here before it touches a real project. If this site and a code disagree, the code is right and we are wrong.
2 · Your account
You need an email address. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so do not share your sign-in link or let someone else use it. One account per person.
Tell us at TBD — support email if you think someone else has got into your account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 3. Where we do, we will say why, and you can appeal by replying — an appeal always reaches a human.
3 · The Circle — what is and is not acceptable
The Circle only works if people feel safe asking a question that exposes what they do not know. So:
Expected: ask the real question. Answer generously. Say "I am not sure" when you are not. Correct someone's engineering, not their English.
Not allowed:
- Confidential material. Do not post client names, project names, drawing numbers, tender documents, vendor quotations, or anything you are under an NDA or an employment obligation to keep private. You are responsible for this — we cannot know what is confidential to your employer, and we will act on a credible complaint.
- Copyrighted standards. Do not paste the text, tables or figures of ASME, API, IS, EN or any other standard. Cite the clause number and say what it means in your own words. We remove verbatim reproductions without discussion.
- Vendor catalogue scans and manufacturer drawings, for the same reason.
- Harassment, abuse, discrimination, or treating a beginner's question with contempt.
- Recruitment spam, advertising, and self-promotion unrelated to an actual question.
- Anything unlawful.
Moderation. We may remove a post, edit a title, or close a thread. We will tell the author what happened. Repeated or serious breaches end the account.
4 · Who owns what
Our material — lessons, figures, 3D models, calculators, question banks and the software — belongs to TBD — entity name. Your membership buys you personal access to learn from it. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, publish, scrape, bulk-download, or use it to train a machine-learning model, and you may not share your account to give others access. You may of course use what you have learned however you like — knowledge is the product.
Your posts stay yours. By posting in the Circle you give us a non-exclusive licence to display, store and distribute that post as part of the service, including on publicly shareable pages. You can delete your posts; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to a conversation when one side is removed.
If you believe something here infringes your copyright, write to TBD — general email with enough detail to identify it and we will investigate promptly.
5 · Membership and payment
Some material is free and stays free. The rest requires a paid membership. Current prices are shown in the app before you pay, and that page is the authoritative one.
We may change prices. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Refunds are covered by the separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6 · Availability
We run this carefully but we do not promise uninterrupted service. There will be maintenance, and occasionally there will be faults. We do not guarantee that any particular lesson, feature or piece of content remains available forever — content is revised and sometimes retired as it is improved or corrected.
7 · Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows:
- EPiC Circle is provided as is, for education.
- We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the material — see section 1. This includes design errors, rework, delay, lost profit, lost data or damage to plant.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited — including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
8 · Ending it
You may stop at any time; see the Refund & Cancellation Policy. We may end your access for a breach of section 3, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will refund the unused part of a paid membership.
9 · Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will say so in the app, not only by editing this page. Continuing to use EPiC Circle after that means you accept the change.
10 · Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at TBD — city have exclusive jurisdiction.
