PSA 7.3 — Snubbers & Dynamic Restraints: Free When Slow, Rigid When Fast
A compressor discharge line hums. It is visible to the eye at the third bay, operations have filed a complaint twice, and the vibration survey puts the dominant response at about 25 Hz with a peak-to-peak amplitude of a few tenths of a millimetre. The line is hot, so nobody wants to clamp it rigidly to the rack. Two hydraulic snubbers are specified and fitted.
