PSA 4.5 — Support Layout in Practice, and How to Optimise It
A 12″ hot header, 120 m along a rack, tie-ins at both ends. The first issue of the stress report comes back with the pump nozzle overloaded and the expansion stress at the loop at 96 % of allowable. The response on the job is immediate and unanimous: add supports. The second issue has supports on every bent, four extra guides and a new anchor near the pump.
