Nozzle-Load Checker API 610 TABLE 5 · NEMA SM-23 · API 617 · SI UNITS (N, N·m)
Reference values are INDICATIVE teaching figures. The API 610 Table 5 / NEMA SM-23 allowables built into this tool are placeholders. They were reconstructed for illustration and are not transcribed from the standard — they may not match the published table. For any real work use your licensed copy of the standard and the vendor datasheet. Use “My own allowables” below to enter the real values from your table or datasheet — the checking METHOD (resultants, the conditional 2× gate) is what this tool teaches.

What this tool is not

Table values are transcribed and rounded into SI from the published US-customary tables; resultants are computed from the tabulated components. Real projects use the current edition of the standard, the vendor's stated allowables where they are better, the translated pump-centre check (Gate 3), and load cases for cold, hot, upset and steam-out. NEMA Rule 2 here assumes you have already resolved every connection's load to the exhaust centreline.

My own allowables (optional — overrides the placeholders)

Type the six allowables from your licensed table or the vendor datasheet. Leave blank to use the built-in illustrative values. using built-in placeholder values.

Educational teaching tool — simplified and illustrative. Not for engineering design use.
