Spec floor 10 % of W
Transverse wind on the bent
Friction ÷ wind

Brace axial force F/cosθ
Utilisation
What the model does. Operating weight = Σ(n·w)·S·g. Friction = μ·k·W acting along the rack at shoe level, every bent, whenever the lines move. Wind uses the common shielding shortcut — projected height = largest pipe + 10 % of the rest, Cf 0.7 on pipes and 1.6 on the two columns (0.25 m wide). The braced bay collects the friction from every bent it serves. Real projects set μ, k, the 10 % floor and the load combinations in the structural design criteria (e.g. PIP STC01015) — use those, not these.
